Supportive oncology is an integral part of the St. Luke’s MSTI philosophy that healing comes from caring for the whole person, not just the disease.
You can count on a team of experts who will work alongside your physicians to help you and your family be as strong and stable as possible during your cancer diagnosis, treatment and beyond.
Lung cancer starts when abnormal cells grow out of control in the lung. They can invade nearby tissues and form tumors. Lung cancer can start anywhere in the lungs and affect any part of the respiratory system.
The cancer cells can spread, or metastasize, to the lymph nodes and other parts of the body.
